Our Hunting Trips

Based on our 41 years of outfitting experience, we have developed two types of guided hunting trips which satisfy the needs of our hunting guests.

Guided Caribou Hunt (1 guide per 2 hunters)

Our Guided caribou hunts are intended for those hunters who want to hunt and fish with a one guide per two hunter ratio. Each day afield two hunters are accompanied by an experienced Inuit guide who is knowledgeable of the hunting territory and the migratory paths the caribou prefer. Each guide has his own freighter canoe and motor enabling hunters to travel, fish and hunt at their own pace. Guides are responsible for all game handling and transportation back to camp.

Camp staff take care of caping, storing and packaging your game for homebound transportation. This hunt offers the opportunity to tag two caribou, wing shoot for ptarmigan and trout fish while enjoying friendly Inuit hospitality.

Semi Guided Caribou Hunt (1 guide per 4 hunters)

Our Semi-Guided caribou hunts are intended for those hunters who wish to experience a more hands-on hunt with a one guide per four hunter ratio. Each day afield four hunters are accompanied by an experienced guide who organizes the day’s hunt for his group. Each guide has his own freighter canoe and motor which is very useful for travel to hunting areas and fishing hot spots. A hunter who books a Semi-Guided hunt should be able to field dress his caribou and help his guide pack his game off the land. Guides assist with caping and assure that all game is identified and stored in a screened meat house.
Before departing camp, hunters are required to pack their game and wrap their antlers for homebound transportation. All meat boxes and antler wrapping materials are provided at camp. Guides work with their hunters to make sure all packing is done smoothly and properly.

All camps operated by Arctic Adventures provide hunters with solid oil heated sleeping accommodations and tasty meals prepared by a camp cook. Facilities include hot showers, generated electricity and satellite telephone communications. Each camp has a screened meat house and all materials necessary to pack game for homebound transportation. Each camp manager has small game, black bear and fishing permits for hunters who want to hunt ptarmigan, black bear or fish for trout. Our camps are organized for our hunters’ comfort and satisfaction.
